matt and margaret | port severn, ontario wedding | london, ontario wedding photographers

On a cool September morning we headed north to shoot a wedding in the Muskokas. The leaves were beginning to change and even though rain was pretty much a sure thing in the forecast, it was a beauty day and the air was calm. The air was calm, minus the excitement abuzz the Severn Lodge as we arrived.

When we first met them, Matt and Margaret had described their wedding day vision to us; the venue, the details, the evening they'd spend celebrating with their favourite people.  And that day, there it was. Their vision becoming the real deal. Perhaps it rained during the ceremony, and randomly throughout most of the entire day except for the evening, when it stopped raining and instead it poured. So there was some rain. But the day was perfect. Made up of special things like mom-crafted florals, wooden boat rides in the mist and two soulmates exchanging vows in the rain. I would say it was a perfect wedding. And I would guess that Matt and Margaret would agree.

Matt and Margaret we are so thankful you shared this day with us as it is really one we will never forget (really - I remember all weddings, but this will stand out).

We adore your witty humour and the way you make each other smile - the perfect mix of friendship and love. I have a good feeling it's only getting better from here.

It has been awesome to work with the two of you. Thank you so much.
