emily + steve | london, ontario wedding photography | photographed may 20, 2012

Ohhhhh, this wedding. Loved it.

It was a day without a care in the world- this was their common goal. And so with this approach, it was exactly that. There was such a calm in the air on Emily and Steve's wedding day. Excitement (obviously) but the laid-back, stop-and-smell-the-roses kind of excitement. The extra good kind. They met up before the ceremony with lots of time to spare. Time to be together and to laugh, and make each other smile, and shake off any nerves (though if there was nervousness, no one could tell). Time to hang out with their dog Axon. Who wore a tie, I might add. He wore it well. And he changed my mind about involving a dog in a wedding, because he was incredible.

There were so many great elements of this wedding. The work and love that went into this day for them could not go unnoticed; so many little details that pieced together a beauty of a thing to photograph.  Pretty things aside though, the single best part about this day was Emily and Steve together. The genuine heart-melty way they look at each other ... that's what made it so Good.

It was an honour to be a part of this day, and to capture all the real laughter and love surrounding it. So happy about the sunshine too; it was pretty much the cherry on top. Thanks so much for sharing this day with us Emily and Steve. I hope you guys keep doing what you do - because it's clearly working.

Congratulations : )

They even built a faux wall for their photobooth... we love that dedication!
